Hiring Process and Timeline: While positions will be posted to this website as they become known, typically staffing requirements for the coming school year are not identified until the end of March. Once position openings have been identified, applications are reviewed, references checked, and interviews arranged with candidates who are considered a good fit for our school and the position. This process takes place during April and early May. Candidates may be asked to teach a demo class and meet with other teachers at that grade level (for teaching positions). Ideally, contracts are offered prior to the end of the current school year.

"You'd think that after nine years as a student at WCGS, I'd want to get away," fifth grade WCGS teacher, volleyball coach, and soccer coach Marc Painter (2005-present) says. And it's all because of the people--coaches who respected me, lifelong friends I made (like the two best men in my wedding), and teachers with integrity who really cared, like Mrs. Landrum, my second grade teacher. She inspired me to be the best I could be and taught me so many life skills--including organization, discipline, and a hard work ethic. Because of her, I'm now back at WCGS as a teacher myself."
