The Annual Scholarship Fund
July 2016 update:
Dear Family and Friends of Wheaton Christian Grammar School,
Summer greetings from the Grammar School! I trust this finds each of you experiencing God’s peace and leading through the joys and challenges of life. With our fiscal year ending on June 30, it brings me great joy to inform you that we exceeded our goal of $425,000 for the Scholarship Fund. We are so excited and grateful. Thank you so very much for your generosity to God’s work and ministry here. We can report that 487 donors gave 1,382 gifts during the 2015-16 fiscal year. I’m also very pleased to share that we now owe $2.6M on our new building. We paid down another $600K this past fiscal year. We’re thankful for the faithfulness of God’s people to help meet the financial needs of the school.
As we journey on this summer, I want to encourage each of you. We are living in perilous times. This morning, the office staff spent time reading a devotional thought from New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp. We were encouraged to live in hope. “Hope isn’t a thing. Hope isn’t a set of circumstances. Hope isn’t first a set of ideas. Hope is a person, and his name is Jesus.” As Christians, we have hope because Jesus exists and is our Savior. We need to “see” the hope that we have been given in Christ (Eph. 1:18-19). Let’s strive to live in light of Hope. God bless you.
With sincere thanks,
Stephen E. Clum
