The news may be full of financial uncertainty, but here's one thing you can be certain about: there is financial aid available at Wheaton Christian Grammar School. Awards are made on the basis of each applicant family’s financial need.
What are the financial aid limits?
In general, family gross income less than $50,000 per year = up to 60% financial aid.
from $50-$60,000 per year = up to 50% financial aid.
from $60-$70,000 per year = up to 40% financial aid.
from $70-$80,000 per year = up to 30% financial aid.
from $80-$90,000 per year = up to 20% financial aid.
from $90-$100,000 per year = up to 10% financial aid.
Are awards ever made outside the financial parameters listed above?
Yes. The circumstances below also affect the amount that may be awarded:
- Funds available for tuition assistance
- Number of applicants relative to funds available
- Number of dependents in your family
- Number of your children enrolled at WCGS
- Other extenuating circumstances as noted on the financial aid application
How do I apply?
Complete the 2010-2011 Wheaton Christian Grammar School Financial Aid Application and attach the required federal tax return. All questions must be answered fully. Return the application to Mr. Bob Broman, Director of Business Operations, in an envelope marked confidential. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant. Continuing school families should apply for aid by May 1 in order to be considered in the first round of awards in early June. New applicants to WCGS should wait until an offer of enrollment has been made before applying for financial aid.
Confidentiality of application
All personal financial information is held in the strictest confidence. Applications will be reviewed by the Director of Business Operations. A financial aid committee comprised of school administrators, the business office personnel, and selected Board members will review the recommendations of the Director of Business Operations. In the course of this review, special circumstances related to the applicant family’s ability to pay the tuition charged may be discussed. Personal financial data reported on the application may be disclosed to certain members of the committee, but only on a need to know basis.
