Our Fall 2010 after-school clubs begin the week of September 13, 2010.
The clubs are ten-week sessions with meeting times from 3:30 - 4:25 p.m. on the scheduled day of the week.  ***Registration is available now through our online registration form!***

Activities include:
      
Creative Arts Club for grades 1-4, Tuesday afternoon, focuses on individual expression while exploring various art forms which will include drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, pastels, and more. (Instructor: Mrs. Susie Cassel)

Master Studio Art Club for grades 5-8, Wednesday (added 8.30.10) is for the student who desires more time in visual arts.  The class includes mixed watercolor, acrylic, mosaics, pottery, sculpture, and more.  (Instructor: Mrs. Lora Hattendorf)  (Thursday class is closed as of 8.30.10.)

Chess Club I for grades 1-8, Tuesday afternoon
Chess Club II for grades 1-8, Wednesday afternoon

No previous knowledge of chess is required.  Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice.  Both beginners and experienced players are welcome, and each will learn new strategies.  The class will include a chess competition with prizes.  These classes are all of varied levels.

French Club for grades 1-7, Monday afternoon
Spanish Club for grades K-2 and 3-7, Monday afternoon

After-school foreign language clubs provide a fun learning environment to help students learn Spanish and French words that they can put into practice.  Activities are geared as much as possible to the general level of language knowledge in the class.  Every effort is made to challenge the skills of more advanced students.  A Fiesta/Fete is provided for the child and his/her family to enjoy at the end of the session.  (Please indicate if your child has any food allergies as a light snack may be provided.)


Scrabble Club for grades 2-6, Thursday afternoon
Expand your child's thinking skills in the exciting atmosphere of word play where creative and critical thinking skills are developed.  Imagining, planning, and decision-making are some of the skills essential to team success.  (Instructor: Mrs. Tina Toedt)
