Ladies' Salad Supper
Katherine Wolf, author of Hope Heals and a brainstem stroke survivor, was the special speaker at the 2017 Ladies' Spring Salad Supper. Her message, "How to Celebrate in Your Storm," (Habakkuk 3:18-19) was a great encouragement to the full house of women who attended. Her stated mission is "to encourage those with broken bodies, broken brains, and broken hearts." Katherine seeks to bridge the gap between those disabled on the outside and those disabled on the inside by sharing the hope that Jesus brings healing to the deepest pains we all carry.
Event organizer and Auxiliary vice-president Brittany Fellowes commented, "What an amazing night we had together hearing from Katherine Wolf. We are so thankful for the talent and musical gifts God has given the Honors Ensemble and Gloria Grace Poland and Kyrie Pierson, and that they were able to lead us in worshipping God. Katherine’s message on celebrating each day and every moment no matter what we are going through is so powerful. Her authentic and genuine spirit was so refreshing and inspiring for us to really live out the gospel and engage the body of Christ in our community."
The annual Salad Supper celebrates the contribution of the dozens of school parents who work throughout the year to serve the Spiritual, Service, Social and Fundraising needs of Wheaton Christian Grammar School.
