September 8 declared "Wheaton Christian Grammar School Day"

The Honorable Michael J. Gresk, Mayor of Wheaton, Illinois, honored Wheaton Christian Grammar School by declaring September 8, 2017 as a day set aside to acknowledge our school’s contribution to the community. The proclamation, given to our administrators at the city’s September 5 City Council meeting, was made in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the school’s first day of classes in 1942.

Head of School, Steve Clum and Principal, Marc Painter accepted the proclamation and addressed the City of Wheaton’s City Council saying, "WCGS has a rich history of providing excellent Christ-centered education to those in Wheaton and many surrounding cities and villages. Our graduates are making a difference for the Kingdom around the world. We want to give thanks for God’s faithfulness and blessing on the school over the past 75 years."

The anniversary was celebrated on September 8 with a daytime student Fun Fair and with a dinner and program that hosted more than 500 alumni, families, and friends of WCGS.
